Why dontcallit.si exists.
America is not a personal branding project. dontcallit.si takes aim at Trump's naming stunts, his political applause department, and the tech industry's willingness to lend the spectacle some borrowed intelligence.
A useful tool does not need a presidential pet name.
We use satire, original illustrations, and linked sources to puncture the vanity. AI helps us make the work; editors decide what earns its place. A useful tool can survive a correction. A presidential ego seems to prefer another sign.
AI-to-SI is the entry point. The larger story is a president turning shared geography, institutions, and language into a personal branding exercise, with an audience trained to applaud the packaging.
Our editorial test is uncomplicated: is the fact supported, is the invented scene clearly a cartoon, and does the joke earn the reader’s time? Corrections are welcome. Tribute plaques are not required.
